We produce a variety of live plant material in our greenhouse operation. In order to get the most out of our sales, we grow all our own plugs from seed for all basic annual bedding plants. The process starts in November and continues into April with the completely finished product. Everything that is needed for gardens and flower beds is grown at Helten Gardens, from start to finish in the highly variable Kansas climate.  This makes the plants very adaptable when taken home by the end consumer. All of our products are grown with the least amount of pesticides possible. Our crop is produced in high tech, open-air greenhouses, which allow them to be grown healthy and "hardened", and enable them to hold up very well to the brisk Kansas wind and weather.
